Engine 5 Responds to RV Fire on East Side

Multiple 911 callers reported a RV camper on fire at the intersection of Dempsey Road & Pinney Street. Engine Co. 5 responded and found a blue RV camper fully involved in fire. Witnesses reported one person fled the camper with a cat. 

Firefighters knocked down the fire, and a salt truck was requested to address the rapidly forming ice on the roads following the fire fight.

A fire investigator responded to the scene, and firefighters searched inside the camper for victims. No victims were found inside. 

Firefighters could not locate the occupant who reportedly fled the camper. Madison Police remained on scene after MFD cleared from the call.
