Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) offers aquatic classes and lessons for youth and adults at the Goodman Pool.

Lifeguard Certification

Lifeguard Certification Courses

Candidates must apply and be hired before the start of the class.

  • Saturday, April 12 - Monday, April 14
    • 8:00am – 6:00pm daily
  • Friday, May 2 – Sunday, May 4
    • 8:00am – 6:00pm daily
  • Friday, May 30 – Sunday, June 1
    • Friday, May 30: 5:00 - 9:00pm
    • Saturday, May 31: 8:30am - 6:00pm
    • Sunday, June 1: 8:30am - 6:00pm 

Goodman Waves

Goodman Waves Swim & Dive Team

The Goodman Waves, Madison’s only public swim & dive team, is one of the 13 teams that competes in the All-City Swim and Dive League, a recreational summer swim & dive league that has been in Madison for over 50 years. 

2025 Meets at Goodman Pool

  • Friday, June 13: Dive Meet, 3-7pm
  • Friday, June 27: Dive Meet, 3-7pm
  • Friday, July 18: Dive Meet, 3-7pm
  • Saturday, July 19: Swim Meet, 8am-12pm
  • Saturday, July 26: Swim Meet, 8am-12pm
