- Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. in hybrid format. Agenda items include honoring the service of outgoing alders, swearing in newly elected and returning alders, and the election of the Common Council President and Vice President.
- Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in hybrid format. Agenda items include allowing hotels to rent 50% of their rooms for stays of thirty consecutive days or more.
- Board of Public Works: The Board of Public Works meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include authorizing a contract for design engineering services for the Regent Street reconstruction.

- City of Madison and Sustain Dane Recycle Better Course - Thursday, April 17, 2025: The Streets Division is partnering once again with Sustain Dane to offer the online Recycle Better classes. The first opportunity starts on Thursday, April 17, 2025
- Celebrate Earth Day in Your Local Park - Saturday, April 26, 2025: Celebrate Earth Day with your neighbors and friends by volunteering to clean up your local park! Join this community-wide volunteer event on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

- Intersection Closure: Mid-Town Road and S. High Point Road: Starting Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Parisi Construction will close the intersection of Mid-Town Road and S. High Point Road to facilitate necessary utility work. This closure will occur daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The intersection is expected to reopen to regular traffic on Monday, April 28.

- Streets Division Drop-off Sites Hours Expand Began Saturday, April 12, 2025: The Streets Division drop-off sites at 402 South Point Road and 4602 Sycamore Avenue have begun their expanded summer hours.
- New Flooding Risk Map Available During WI Severe Weather Awareness Week: A new map is available for the community to see areas known to historically experience street flooding during storm events in the City of Madison.
- Urban Forestry Planting 1,400 Trees in Spring 2025: Urban Forestry’s annual spring planting season began Monday, April 7, 2025. Crews will be planting approximately 1,400 trees along City of Madison streets.
- Yard Waste Pickup Starts Monday, April 13, 2025: Curbside yard waste collection begins Monday, April 13, 2025, for some neighborhoods. You will have two chances for curbside pickup for yard waste – one in April and one in May.
- The Annual Reverend James C. Wright Human Rights Award Nominations are Due by Wednesday, April 30, 2025: The City of Madison Equal Opportunities Division (EOD) and the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) present the Reverend James C. Wright Human Rights Award annually. The award honors the late Reverend James C. Wright, who served as Executive Director of the Equal Opportunities Commission from its inception in 1968 until his retirement in 1992.
