  • DOT Grant Received to Improve Whitney Way/Odana Intersection: On April 16, a pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle at the Whitney Way/Odana intersection. It was a reminder that this intersection is a source of frequent resident complaints to Alder Tishler and me. On April 18, MPE Mid-Town District Lt. Also on April 18, Tom Mohr of Traffic Engineering advised us that this intersection was awarded a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funding grant through Federal Highways to improve the traffic signal visibility and pedestrian facility improvements.  It is currently in design and construction will take place in 2027 through WisDOT.
