Carpoolers have first priority for Monthly Parking Permits when there is availability. Carpoolers who are eligible, non-city residents pay the discounted, resident monthly rate.
To qualify for the Carpool Program, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- The point of departure for at least two persons in the carpool must be outside the defined carpool boundaries, AND their destination must be within those boundaries (see map above). Passengers do not need to be in the car at the time it is parked.
- A carpool must have at least two people in the car four days per week.
Driving children in high school or younger to school is not considered carpooling.
- If one person parks Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and the other person parks Tuesdays and Thursdays they are not eligible for the Carpool Program.
