Welcome to the Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Pool! The 2025 season is planned for Thursday, June 12 - Sunday, August 24. 

All times are subject to change. Special events, the weather or other circumstances may alter the scheduled hours or close the pool. Please see the Exceptions and Pool Closing Policy for more information. 

Recreation Open Swim

Thursday, June 12 - Thursday, July 31

  • Monday - Thursday: 1 - 5:45pm
  • Friday: 1 - 7pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 12 - 7pm

Friday, August 1 - Sunday, August 24

  • Monday - Thursday: 12:30 - 5:45pm
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 12 - 7pm

Safety Break / Adult & Infant Swim Time

The Pool will close for 10-minute breaks at various times each day. During these breaks, infants aged 2 and under may use the pool only when accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older. No other swimmers, use of slides, or diving boards are permitted until the All-Swim announcement.

  • Friday - Sunday: 1 - 6pm

Lap Swim

Lap Swim begins Friday, June 13. Limited lanes are available. During high demand, lanes must be shared and/or swim times reduced to 30 minutes per person.

Tot Swim

Tot Swim begins Friday, June 13. An easy, quieter time for a parent or guardian and child aged 10 years and younger to enjoy the zero-depth area with water features, catch pool and shallow end. An adult must be present for the duration. Slides are not available. Access to Tot Time allows you same-day entrance to Recreation Open Swim with a handstamp. 

  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 8 - 11:30am
    • Fridays: The catch pool will be limited due to MSCR Adaptive Swim Lessons.

No Tot Swim on the following dates: Saturday, June 28; Saturday, July 19; Saturday, July 26 and Saturday, August 16

  • Thursday, June 12 - opening day, no lap swim and no cabana rentals.
  • Tuesday, June 17 - starting at 3pm, lap pool, deep water, and diving boards are not available. Zero-depth features and slides remain open. No cabana rentals. Goodman Waves Meet 3-7pm.
  • Friday, June 27 - starting at 3pm, lap pool, deep water, and diving boards are not available. Zero-depth features and slides remain open. No cabana rentals. Goodman Waves Meet 3-7pm.
  • Saturday, June 28 - No lap or tot swim, Goodman Waves Meet 8am-12pm; pool closes at 4:30pm and reopens with free admission at 5:15pm for Movie at the Goodman Pool.
  • Friday, July 11 - pool closes at 4:30pm and reopens for MSCR's Adaptive Family Swim, 5-7pm.
  • Friday, July 18 - starting at 3pm, lap pool, deep water, and diving boards are not available. Zero-depth features and slides remain open. No cabana rentals. Goodman Waves Meet 3-7pm.
  • Saturday, July 19 - no lap or tot swim, Goodman Waves Meet 8am-12pm.
  • Saturday, July 26 - no lap or tot swim, Goodman Waves Meet 8am-12pm.
  • Friday, August 1 - pool closes at 4:30pm and reopens for MSCR's Adaptive Family Swim, 5-7pm.
  • Saturday, August 16 - limited lanes for lap swim and no tot swim, MSCR's Adaptive Family Swim, 10 - 11:30am
  • Sunday, August 24 - final day of the 2025 season

Pool Closing Policy

Pool Closing Policy

All posted hours are subject to change and the pool may close under the following circumstances:

  • If the air temperature is below 69° at opening or low attendance.
  • If rain prevents the lifeguards from seeing the bottom of the pool.
  • If there has been rain, thunder or lightning for a period of one hour and the storm is projected to continue.
  • The Pool cannot meet the state codes for the safety, maintenance and operation of pools and water attractions.
  • By Public Health Emergency Order.
  • Mechanical breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances.
