Counseling and Support

  • Journey Mental Health Center

    24/7 Crisis Line is available in Dane county at 608-280-2600. Individuals experiencing emotional distress or psychiatric crisis can talk with a trained clinician who will listen, provide understanding and empathy, and ask how they can help. 

  • 211 Helpline

    For help in locating community resources, please dial 211 anytime, day or night. You will be connected to a live person who is available to help. You may also browse resources by going to 211 through the United Way of Dane County website or download the 211 Wisconsin App on the Apple or Android stores.

  • Call or text 9-8-8

    Use the link for online chat. The 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24/7/365 in the United States. 

  • Dane County Behavioral Health Resource Center (BHRC)

    Visit BHRC, call 608-267-2244 or email BHRC@danecounty.gov for this non-crisis, voluntary person and family centered service designed to help all Dane County residents access behavioral health services, regardless of insurance status, financial status, age, identity, ability or legal status.

  • Boys & Girls Club of Dane County - Family and Adult Group Sessions

    Adult Group Sessions for debriefing, support, and connection and Private Family Counseling Sessions are available.

    Everytown Survivor Network is a nationwide community of survivors working together to end gun violence. The Survivor Network connects survivors to each other, amplifies the power of survivor voices, offers trauma-informed programs, provides information on direct services, and supports survivors who choose to become advocates.
