National Bike Month -- Seeing as we really like to celebrate bikes, we also recognize the League of American Bicyclists National Bike Month all month long in May. Learn how you can make biking even more fun with Bike to Work and Bike to School Days.
Ride Across Wisconsin -- Join the Wisconsin Bike Fed as they host this annual ride, showing off some of Wisconsin’s best trails and beautiful low-traffic dairy roads, August 17-18, 2024.

Walking Events
Flock To State – Madison’s Central Business District is partnering with the City to present programming and events to activate the 400 to 600 block of the State Street Pedestrian Mall. These blocks have been transformed with community-driven art, new furniture and events to get people to Flock to State!
Walk-tober – Every October join in the celebration of walking. Walk to work, walk to the store, walk to pick up food, walk to school, or just walk for fun.
White Cane Safety Day – October 15 is recognized nationally as White Cane Safety Day. This day promotes the independence of people with vision loss by increasing awareness of the White Cane Law that states that a person operating a vehicle must stop at least 10-feet from someone who is using a white cane or guide dog.
Week without Driving– September 30-October 5, 2024 join public officials, transportation professionals, advocates and individuals as they challenge themselves to better understand what it's like to rely on walking, rolling, transit and asking for rides. The Week Without Driving is intended for those who have the option to drive to learn about the barriers and challenges of non-drivers.
