World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
Event Description
The City of Madison Vision Zero team will be hosting their 3rd installation display to honor those lost from traffic violence beginning on Monday, November 11.
This display will be part of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims installations happening globally for the week prior to, or following the day of remembrance occurring on Sunday, November 17.
What to expect:
- The display will be set-up on Monday, November 11th, and remain in place until the following Monday.
- The location is the Olin Park overlook area near the intersection of John Nolen Drive and Lakeside, adjacent to our busy Capital City Trail path.
- There will be a press conference at the display location on Friday, November 15 starting at 10:30am.
- Sunday, November 17, is the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This is the day we reflect on the actions we can take to make our streets safer for all who use them, regardless of their choice of travel method.
