Resources for the Madison Community
Madison stands with the families of Abundant Life community. This page is dedicated to connecting victims and the broader community to resources and accurate information about the tragic events that happened on December 16.
BRT Cutting Ribbon Ceremony
postedIf you missed the BRT celebration, don't worry! Below is the press conference, which included Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, Wisconsin Lt. Governor Sara Rodriquez, and FTA Acting Administrator Veronica Vanterpool.
Listening to Veronica Vanterpool share the history of BRT around the country, the funding opportunities and the importance of the Transit Overlay was inspiring. Once again, it validates the investment in BRT and the commitment to housing density.
Thank you to the staff for all their hard work and dedication to this project. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. And a big thank you to the community that rides the bus and contributes to reducing greenhouse gases. Your support is invaluable.
Join us next week by participating in the Week Without Driving Challenge, a community initiative to reduce traffic congestion and promote sustainable transportation. During this week, we encourage you to use public transportation, carpool, bike, or walk to work.
Check out the Bus Rapid page and learn more about the benefits of BRT and how you can contribute to a more sustainable future. We look forward to your active participation in the BRT project and the Week Without Driving Challenge!
