Two Neighborhood Meetings Next Week on Monday (06/24) and Tuesday (06/25)

  1. A virtual neighborhood meeting to hear more about this proposal and alcohol license application is scheduled for 6pm on Monday, June 24, 2024. You can join the virtual meeting using your computer, smartphone, or tablet, or you can listen in via telephone. You will receive login information after registering at www.cityofmadison.com/MeetingJune24Refuel. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

    Refuel Pantry, Inc. proposes to open a convenience store at 2702 E. Washington Avenue, currently McGee’s Chicken/bp, and they have applied for a Class A Alcohol License. Proposed hours of operation would be Sunday through Saturday, 5am-10pm. The Alcohol License Review Committee will consider the application at its June 26 meeting.

  2. A neighborhood meeting on two topics is scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at La Pollera Colombiana, 3579 E. Washington Avenue.

    Amit Kumar and Rajan Talwar propose to open a liquor store, Crown Liquor, at 3510 E. Washington, and they have applied for a Class A Alcohol License. Proposed hours of operation would be Sunday through Saturday, 8am-9pm. The Alcohol License Review Committee will consider the application at its June 26 meeting.

    Representatives from Traffic Engineering, Engineering, and Metro Transit will be present to provide information and answer questions about traffic flow, parking, and other street-related issues that may affect the neighborhood as a result of recent development proposals in the area.

    The liquor store proposal will be discussed first at the neighborhood meeting, to be followed by the discussion with City staff.
