Boards, Commissions, and Committee Meetings

  • Finance Committee: The Finance Committee meeting will take place on Monday, June 24, in virtual format at 4:30 p.m. Agenda items include amending project plans for several Tax Incremental Districts (TID), authorizing Subordinate Water Utility Revenue Bonds, authorizing agreements for several state/municipal grants, and other matters.
  • Sustainable Madison Committee: The Sustainable Madison Committee meeting will take place on Monday, June 24, in virtual format at 4:30 p.m. Agenda items include a discussion of the Sustainable Madison Committee Ordinance Change and other matters.
  • Plan Commission: The Plan Commission meeting will take place on Monday, June 24, in virtual format at 5:30 p.m. Agenda items include consideration of a demolition permit for the removal of Fire Station #6 at 825 W Badger Road to enable development of a childcare facility for Madison College’s Goodman South campus, a zoning change at 3110 Dairy Road to Industrial-Limited, consideration of a demolition permit and conditional use permit to accommodate the expansion of the private school at 6402 Schroeder Road, and other matters.
  • Board of Public Works: The Board of Public Works meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 26, in virtual format at 4:30 p.m. Agenda items include authorizing night work with attendant noise for two projects, consideration of ordinance and policy changes related to large-item pick-up and electronic waste recycling, authorizing advertisement for bids on several public projects, and other matters.
  • Housing Strategy Committee: The Housing Strategy Committee meeting will take place on Thursday, June 25, in-person at 5:00 p.m. in Room 215 of the Madison Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. An agenda has not yet been posted.

Public Information Meetings

  • Public Input Meeting – Park Badger Redevelopment, Monday, June 24The Community Development Authority and the development partner team will formally kick off the planning and visioning process in summer 2024, with the first community conversation scheduled for Monday, June 24. There will be an online presentation and Q&A at noon, and an in-person meeting at 6pm at the Urban League’s Black Business Hub at 2352 S. Park Street. The content of each meeting will be the same.   • Public Input Meeting – Country Grove Park, Thursday, June 27Madison Parks is planning to construct approximately 1.2 miles of natural surface, bicycle adventure trail, also known as a bike-optimized singletrack trail at Country Grove Park in 2025.  The trail would be open to bikes and other non-motorized uses such as hiking, walking and snowshoeing. The community is invited to attend a virtual public information meeting to learn about the proposed project and provide feedback.  The virtual event is on Thursday, June 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please register in advance.
