Peer Support

The role of the EAP Facilitator is to serve as a support person for employees and their family members who are seeking information on EAP resources. Facilitators will not provide therapy or counseling but will act as a referral person to professional resources.

The role of the Peer Support Member/Officer is to serve as a support person for First Responder employees and their families seeking information on EAP resources. PSMs/PSOs will not provide therapy or counseling but will act as a referral person to professional resources. They also serve a critical function by working with EAP/CISM staff to assess and coordinate response to critical incidents.
