MFD Introduces Eighteen New Firefighters

The Madison Fire Department recently welcomed eighteen new firefighters to its ranks. Recruit Academy Class 4 graduated on Friday, November 6, 2015.
Comprised of two groups, this class was the first of its kind in recent MFD history. One group of recruits, all of whom had previous training and/or certifications in related fields, participated in an accelerated four-week academy. A second group went through the standard fourteen-week training.
