VFW Band Performs at the Madison Senior Center

Save Thursday, February 16 and start the evening with a reception at 5 pm to celebrate the Madison Senior Center's successful national accreditation by the National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC). The Madison Senior Center is one of only 170 senior centers across the United States to achieve this honored status, and it was the first Wisconsin senior center to receive this designation in 1999. Enjoy appetizers and punch with Mayor Paul Soglin giving the welcome at 5:30 pm. Stay for a delicious dinner, followed by great music! Dinner is served at 6 pm and features lasagna, salad, garlic bread and cookies, catered and generously underwritten in part, by Hy-Vee. The VFW Band, a 32-piece band, directed by legendary Jim Latimer, performs this free concert at 7 pm. They make a stop at the Senior Center only once a year, so you won't want to miss this wonderful opportunity. Dinner is $6. Advance reservations (266-6581) are necessary by Friday, February 10. The Madison Senior Center is located at 330 W. Mifflin Street in Downtown Madison. Call 266-6581 or visit www.MadisonSeniorCenter.org for more information.
