The City of Madison Welcomes Afghan Refugees to Wisconsin

As refugees from Afghanistan arrive in Wisconsin, the Mayor and Common Council Leadership would like to extend a warm welcome and reaffirm Madison's commitment to treating refugees with dignity, care and respect.

Many Madisonians are interested in helping to welcome and assist Afghan refugees as they arrive. The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families has established a website with information on how to help the Afghan individuals and families arriving at Fort McCoy.

As refugees are resettled throughout the state, many Madisonians are interested in supporting refugees settling in Madison and Dane County. To receive updates on local needs and ways to help, please contact one of the following:
