UPDATE 6/5/23---Street Closure--S Broom Street & W Wilson Street

Starting Wednesday, June 7, in addition to the existing closures, the westbound lane of W Wilson Street from the Hamilton/Henry intersection to Broom Street will be closed to traffic for reconstruction.

Starting Monday, May 22, S Broom Street will be fully closed to traffic between W Wilson Street and W Doty Street, and eastbound W Wilson Street will be closed between S Broom Street and S Henry Street. Map of closures attached.
Metro Transit bus routes are detoured.
Pedestrian walkways will be maintained on at least one side of each street, through work zone, at all times.
These closure are for Madison Gas & Electric underground work prior to the start of the full street reconstruction project, which will begin on Monday, June 5. One inbound (northbound) lane of S Broom Street will reopen by Friday, August 11. All other streets will reopen in late October to early November.
