Dead Animal Collection
City crews responded to 297 dead animal pickups in 2020 with a wide variety of different animals.
Anyone can report a dead animal through Report A Problem or call 608-266-4430.
City crews pick up the dead animals after 3 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Please remember that City crews cannot enter private property. Your private property is typically one foot away from the property side of sidewalk.
Removal options
- Relocate the animal to the terrace in front of your property for pick up by Engineering
- Place the animal in your trash container for pick up with regularly scheduled trash collection
- Hire a private service to enter your property to remove and dispose of the animal.
