Olbrich Botanical Gardens Operations Area
The hoop house relocation and maintenance shed construction were completed in early 2019. The material storage area and screen fence were installed in late September 2019. Landscape planting around the screen fence will continue as plant material becomes available through garden operations.
Project approvals:
The new maintenance shed and hoop house locations were presented to the Urban Design Commission on 07/11/18.
In February, 2019, the leaf material material storage area was revised based on neighborhood input.
The City of Madison Parks Division held a neighborhood meeting on March 29, 2018, to discuss potential improvements at Olbrich Park. City staff reviewed current site conditions and gathered input on potential improvements from area residents, park users and project stakeholders.

Two areas of Olbrich Park were reviewed and discussed; the North Plat and Olbrich Botanical Gardens operations area along Sugar Ave near the existing ice skating rink.
