Project Overview
Installation of a roughly 60 kW solar photovoltaic system at the Madison Police Department Training Center. The system will be a combination of roof mounted and ground mounted modules and will produce an estimated 78,000 kWh per year. When combined with the building’s existing roof mounted system, 35% of the building’s electricity usage will be generated by the solar arrays. The array will be installed by the Engineering Division’s GreenPower program where trainees with little to no electrical skills are provide on-the-job training through solar installations on City buildings.
