Project Overview
Installation of a roughly 35 kW solar photovoltaic system at the Engineering Operations Facility. The system will be roof mounted modules and will produce an estimated 45,500 kWh per year. The systems production will be used to charge Electric Vehicles used by the Engineering Division. When combined with the building’s existing roof mounted systems, 68.5% of the building’s electricity usage will be generated by the solar arrays. The array will be installed by the Engineering Division’s GreenPower program where trainees with little to no electrical skills are provide on-the-job training through solar installations on City buildings.
