- Finance Committee: The Finance Committee meeting will take place on Monday, July 8, 2024, in virtual format at 4:30 PM. Agenda items include changes to the large item collection program.
- Plan Commission: The Plan Commission meeting will take place on Monday, July 8, 2024, in virtual format at 5:30 PM.
- Board of Parks Commissioners: The Board of Parks Commissioners meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in virtual format at 6:30 PM. Agenda items include the Board’s policy for private art and expressive displays in parks.
- Plan Commission: A Plan Commission special meeting will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Room 215 of the Madison Municipal Building at 5:00 PM.

- Lunch Time LIVE! (Kat and the Hurricane) - Tuesday, July 9, 2024: Madison’s Central Business Improvement District is proud to bring back the perennial summer favorite. Grab a friend and a blanket and find a spot on the Capitol lawn near King St.
- Play on the Move at The Glen - Wednesday, July 10, 2024: Madison Parks Foundation has partnered with Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) for a free, drop-in mobile play program for the Madison Metropolitan School District community. The van brings unique play equipment for organized games, physical activities, and free play that encourages imagination and interactive learning experiences.
- Capitol City Band Concert in the Park - Thursday, July 11, 2024: Old-fashioned free concerts by the Capitol City Band with toe-tapping familiar music for all ages and all cultures. Bring a friend, bring your chairs; enjoy the music on a beautiful summer evening; rain or shine!
- Live at The Glen: Grand Aul Day - Friday, July 12, 2024: Madison Parks Foundation proudly presents Live at The Glen! Enjoy live music on the patio at The Glen Golf Park.
- The Wisconsin Brain Tumor Walk & Race - Saturday, July 13, 2024: The Wisconsin Brain Tumor Walk & Race is a family-friendly event for all ages! Join us for a morning of celebration, remembrance and hope.
- Bird & Nature Adventures (Owen Conservation Park) - Saturday, July 13, 2024: Join School Naturalists Lois Komai and Chris Sessions for a free, fun, family-friendly guided tour of Owen Park. Learn about the natural and social history of Owen Park. We will follow easy hiking paths to explore the woodlands and pastures to see and learn how they have been restored to oak openings and native prairies.

- Celebrating National Park and Recreation Month and 130 Years of Parks: For nearly 40 years, the nation has celebrated Park and Recreation Month in July to promote the importance parks and recreation have in our health and well-being. Living close to parks and other recreation facilities is consistently related to higher physical activity levels for both adults and youth.
- Share Your Safety Concerns with MPD and Community Leaders at the Public Safety Summit: Madison Police Department staff and other community leaders are hosting a Public Safety Summit. The goal of the summit is to understand current safety trends in our city and the strategies employed to prevent crime. Panelists will discuss opportunities for collaboration to enhance safety in Madison.
