Ironman and football this weekend, Keep our students safe, Announcements and Events
postedHello neighbors,
Please be advised about street closures for Ironman this weekend, and the impact on traffic of Saturday’s football game.
Our students, both K-12 and University, have returned to classes. It’s more important than ever that we work collaboratively to ensure everyone’s safety. The majority of people stopped for speeding in our neighborhoods live within an 8-block radius. Many bicyclists involved in crashes have failed to yield to stop signs and traffic signals. When there is a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk, drivers – and cyclists - are required to stop. Please, slow down, put down your phones, be aware, and look out for one another! Also, be sure to lock your car doors and garages at night. There have been a string of thefts from vehicles in recent weeks. These are crimes of opportunity.
