WestFest @ Elver Park, Saturday, August 10, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Please join me at this year’s annual WestFest at Elver Park event! WestFest will take place tomorrow, Saturday, August 10th, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. WestFest was created to have a fun-filled, intergenerational summer festival to showcase the diversity of Madison’s southwest side. The goal was to build community pride with the collaboration and support of partner agencies, organizations, businesses, homeowners, and neighborhood associations on the west side. 

WestFest@Elver Park was my vision of a community festival on the southwest side of Madison to fill the gap left by the exit of the long-standing Fireworks at Elver Park. The intent: to highlight the diversity of our Southwest neighborhoods; bring us together by building community pride. Thus, WestFest@ Elver Park: An “Intergenerational Westside Community Building Festival” was born.

Enjoy: Hot dogs, ice cream, snow cones, rides, face painting, music by DJ Wayne, Martial Arts mat demonstrations with Eugene Crisler.
Meet me, Alder Harrington-McKinney at the Resource Table, where I can talk with you about the referendum and other city business. There you can also complete the Fireworks @ Elver Park Survey: Should 4th of July Fireworks Return to Elver Park: YES/NO. 

12:00—3:00 p.m.: Multi-Generational Entertainment – Sunshine Arts and Culture Dance performance – formerly Sunshine Dance Troupe. Performing Chinese Traditional Dance

2:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Featured at the “Celebrity Dunk Tank”: Judge Everett D. Mitchell & Alder Charles Myadze. Donations accepted to help encourage our two celebrities to be “dunked”. Donations will go to support WestFest@Elver Park 2025.
