Photo Affair

Photo Affair returns in 2024 with a the theme "Aging is Living." This is a photo contest for adults age 55+ that is done in collaboration with MMOCA's fall Gallery Night. 

Health & Resource Fair

This annual event coincides with National Senior Center Month, and reinforces the 2024 theme of "Powering Connections." Over 30 agencies will be on-hand to share information and resources. The event will wrap-up with lunch and a presentation on Genetic Counseling: Why it is Important for Older Adults. Registration is required to receive lunch. Older adults of all ages will find useful information. It also provides valuable information for caregivers and adult children.  


Monona Terrace Healthy Living Lectures

This lecture series features experts speaking on a variety of issues related to aging, wellness, lifestyle strategies and more. Join us at an upcoming lecture for some healthful enrichment. Lectures are usually held in the Spring and the Fall. 

National Senior Center Month

September is National Senior Center month. Every senior center is unique, and we encourage you to see what our local center offers for you – so that you can discover your unique path to aging well!

The Madison Senior Center has been a pillar of the community for over 40 years. Research shows that older adults who participate in senior center programs can learn to manage and delay the onset of chronic disease and experience measurable improvements in their physical , social, spiritual, emotional, mental and economic well-being. 

Silver Santa

Silver Santa is a festive event to spread holiday cheer. Many seniors are alone and isolated during the winter holidays for a variety of reasons. This event features holiday music, crafts, games, and of course, a visit from Santa with presents for everyone. Times and registration information will be available after October 1, 2024.
