Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
EVCS Program
Madison Gas and Electric has provided Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) in City of Madison operated parking facilities. Each facility contains, at least, one ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant charging station and one station available to the general public.
Charging Station Access
The charging of electric vehicles in City of Madison Parking Garages is permitted at authorized charging stations only. The use of unauthorized electrical outlets for charging electric vehicles or for any other purpose is not allowed.
An MG&E account is required to access these charging stations, and the cost to charge is separate from the fee to park in the facility.
Visit the Madison Gas and Electric website to set up a ChargePoint account for use of garage chargers or to learn more about plug-in electric vehicles and charging stations.
Please note: MG&E transitioned the charging stations at their Fast-Charging Hub on South Livingston Street Garage to EV Connect which uses a different app to connect. Download the EV Connect app.

Pricing
MG&E establishes their own rates for the use of the EVCS stations, and manages the program, in each City-operated facility.

Facilities with Charging Stations
There are two charging stations and one accessible charging station. They are on the South side of level 2, near E. Mifflin St.
There are two public charging stations and one accessible charging station. The public charging stations are on the North side of the garage near W. Dayton St, one on level 1 and one on level 2. The accessible station is on level 1 near the W. Mifflin St. entrance.
There is one public charging station and one accessible charging station on level 1 at Bay BB.
There are two public charging stations on level 2 at Bay BB.
Please note: MG&E recently transitioned the charging stations at their Fast-Charging Hub on South Livingston Street to EV Connect. If you haven't already, please download the EV Connect app from your phone's app store and set up your profile.
There are three public charging stations and one van accessible charging station. All stations are on level LL0 near the E Doty St elevators.
There are two public charging stations and one accessible charging station near the Monroe St. entrance.
