Madison Arts Commission 50th Anniversary

January 8th, 2024 marked the 50th anniversary of the Madison Arts Commission (MAC). MAC was created to “coordinate and advise the Common Council in matters relating to the cultural affairs of the City of Madison." In the past 50 years it has also been called the Madison Cultural Affairs Committee, Madison Committee for the Arts, and CitiArts. We are honored to celebrate 50 years tirelessly working to bring art to the people and the people to the arts.
