New Businesses
New businesses in the City of Madison must license all weights and measures devices. These include:

scales
-
gas pumps and meters
-
scanner units
-
timing devices
-
yardage measures
Businesses must pay a fee for each device or unit. Our Weights and Measures staff annually inspect devices for compliance.
