Boarding with Fast Fares

Find the closest fare reader. Readers are located at every door.
Look for the contactless payment symbol on the reader.
You can also find the correct part of the reader by running your hands along the edge of the device. Tap your card near the small, closely spaced bumps. Some readers are installed vertically, others are horizontal.
Hold your Fast Fare card against the reader and wait for the screen to turn green. You’ll hear a “BEEP!”

Do not throw this card away! These cards are meant for long-term continued use.
Do not damage or hole-punch the cards. This will ruin the card and it will no longer work. Metro is not responsible for damaged cards.
Metro is not responsible for lost cards/value that are not associated with an organization or a personal Fast Fare account.
Riders must create a Fast Fare account to be eligible for half-price fares (youth, senior, disabled, low income).
